THE BORING-BUT-IMPORTANT BITS

Advertising Terms

Plain-English version: You give me a tenner, your approved advert gets the agreed week on the website. You are not buying guaranteed views, clicks or customers. And because it is attached to my actual leg, I get the final say on what appears here.

1. The service

Andy's Leg Billboard offers a featured advertising position on this website for the price and period shown on the site at the time a booking is agreed. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the standard offer is £10 for seven consecutive days and one featured advertiser at a time.

2. Approval and refusal

All advertising is subject to approval. I may reject, pause or remove material that I reasonably consider unlawful, misleading, offensive, unsafe, infringing, technically unsuitable, damaging to the project, or otherwise inappropriate. Payment does not create an automatic right to publication.

3. Advertiser responsibility

The advertiser is responsible for ensuring that all names, logos, images, links, claims and other material supplied for an advert are accurate, lawful and authorised for use. By supplying material, the advertiser confirms that they have the necessary rights and permissions for it to be displayed and linked from this site.

4. Advertising standards

Advertising must comply with applicable UK law and advertising rules, including the CAP Code where relevant. Objective claims must be capable of substantiation. I may ask for wording, evidence or artwork to be changed before publication.

5. No performance guarantee

No minimum number of impressions, visitors, clicks, enquiries, sales or other results is promised. The fee purchases the agreed period of display only. The nature of the project means audience levels may vary substantially.

6. External websites

Advertiser buttons and images may link to third-party websites. Those websites are operated independently. Andy's Leg Billboard is not responsible for their availability, security, content, products, services or privacy practices.

7. No endorsement

Appearance on Andy's Leg Billboard is paid advertising space and does not, by itself, mean that I endorse, recommend or guarantee the advertiser, its products, services or claims.

8. Dates, interruptions and refunds

Display dates will be agreed with the advertiser. If a material technical problem under my control prevents the advert being displayed for a significant part of the agreed period, I may extend the display period or provide an appropriate refund. No compensation is offered for indirect losses, lost profits or expected advertising results, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Cancellation

Cancellation and refund arrangements will be agreed before a paid booking is accepted. Any statutory rights that legally apply are unaffected by these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the project develops. A booking is governed by the version in force when that booking is agreed, unless a change is required by law.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in them removes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
